  • Tyler Watkins, Executive Director

    Tyler is passionate about investing in youth and creating opportunities for them to thrive. After serving ten years in Special Forces, he brings strong leadership and a commitment to building programs that serve the mission of The Homie House. As a teacher, he saw the need to do more so that every young person has the chance to achieve more than they ever imagined.

  • Jen Metcalf, Secretary

    Jen is a dedicated advocate for recovery and community empowerment. An enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, she has served on multiple boards and led initiatives that promote healing, cultural revitalization, and sustainable growth in tribal and rural communities. Her work blends advocacy and program development, always rooted in tradition and focused on building a more equitable future.

  • Karen Murphy, Vice President

    Karen has dedicated her career to serving others through health care, social work, and the arts. After earning degrees from Smith College and Portland State University, she worked for two decades with Newport Hospital, Hospice, and Home Health, and later operated a private psychotherapy practice and Healing HeArts clinic. She continues to serve the community through leadership roles, including as Lead Trustee for the Rick Bartow Trust.

  • Crystal Taylor, Treasurer

    Crystal works with Native youth through TAPP and Title VI for the Lincoln County School District as well as with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. She has also coached varsity volleyball at Toledo Jr./Sr. High School and is an active supporter of youth athletics, including cheering on her own son. Crystal believes deeply in the vision of The Homie House and is committed to helping provide the positive, supportive spaces that young people need to succeed.

  • Ken Wood, President

    Ken was born and raised in Lincoln County and has devoted his life to helping others find stability, purpose, and hope. As a certified recovery mentor and peer support specialist, he has worked with individuals across the region while also serving through several nonprofit initiatives. His passion for giving back drives his commitment to youth, mentorship, and building a stronger future for the next generation.
